Freedomverse is a hard science fiction world where many characters come together in an attempt to oust corruption and slavery in the galaxy. With groups like the Technomancers, Erotes, and the other groups that try to root out the evil elements of their lives, these characters reach for the stars, and some achieve what they're aiming for.

When humans reached for the stars, they needed help. That help came in the form of the enigmatic and elusive Datamind. During World War III, they came to Earth and helped eradicate war, famine, and other issues that held humankind back from reaching the stars. Humans moved into the wider galaxy, and while not quite able to take a seat at the galactic table as of yet, they, with usual human ambition, have spread out to many worlds with the help of their alien friends.

Still, there are evils in the world of humankind that simple associations with other species have not done away with. These issues, such as corruption, greed, and sadism, still plague humans--even those who have left Earth.

In the wider galaxy, though, there are those that actively fight for a better human race. They expose those who would bring harm to anyone or anything, and they stand up for what they believe in. They help those who are hurt, and they free those enslaved. They want freedom for all. And that's what all the galaxy needs.

The Freedomverse begins in Breaking Free with the story of Rain and Chrome, two Technomancers caught in a web of deceit and lies that threads throughout the Earth's governement.
