The story in Chains of Blood spawned the Trials of Blood universe, and it began with Bellamy. At the center of both the trilogies, Chains of Blood and Bloodlines, Bellamy stands strong. Friends and foes abound, that there are threads left in this first trilogy that you may wonder about, and they will find answers in the second trilogy. I do hope you enjoy the journey.
Chains of Blood Trilogy

Bellamy’s life shatters on the day his mother dies when he learns the truth about his blood: he is not human. He always knew his father wasn’t his biological parent, but the reality is far darker and stranger. His father is a demon and his mother an angel. Bellamy is a Nephilim, a rare being born from a perfect fusion of opposing energies from the outer planes. Unknowing to him, this kind of occurrence is almost completely unknown, and not even those pursuing him understand the powers he might wield.
The demons who murdered his mother are now hunting him. An angel who tries to protect Bellamy is killed in the pursuit, forcing him to flee. During his escape he meets Saniel, an angel who offers him refuge and promises to take him to Elysium, the angels’ home on Earth. He thinks since the demons were the ones to kill his mother, that he should trust their opposing side. After all, they were angels, and angels were always the good guys.
In Elysium Bellamy encounters a community of angels: Saraquiel, Soma, and many others, including the ruling council known. Some welcome him and accept his choice to stand with them. Others condemn him because his demonic lineage brands him impure in their eyes. Despite the suspicion, Bellamy joins their ranks and takes up the fight against the demonic forces. Some still grumble in displeasure at the way they receive him, and a figure watches that begins to brew a plan for the Nephilim.
As Bellamy battles demons alongside his new allies, cracks begin to appear. Not everything in Elysium is what it seems, and the lines between friend and foe blur. Increasing isolation follows as the wider world turns against him for reasons beyond his control.
Left questioning whom he can trust, Bellamy embarks on a path neither angel nor demon anticipated. His journey forces him into confrontations with horrors that test him and into encounters with a wonder of creation that surprises everyone around him.

The day started as any other day would. Bellamy Delacroix was shopping with his brother, and then he headed home to the inevitable discussion about his future with his mother. A woman who still cooks despite technology that doesn’t require her to, his mother is an old-fashioned type in a future world.
Then, his world explodes quite literally, and he’s swept up into a world beyond his imagination. A war between extraplanar creatures who call themselves angels and demons draws him in because of what he is. And what he is, no one has ever seen before—a Nephilim. He is the child of an angelic mother and a demonic father and is thus capable of channeling both the positive and negative energies of the planes. This makes him dangerous and a target for both the minions of heaven and hell.
An angel named Saniel takes him under her wing and helps him adjust as he is brought to the underground city of heaven, Elysium. He learns about what he is, who they are, and their enemies in Zion, the demons. A warning from an ally of his mother, though, rings in his head, and he wonders who he should really be trusting. Things begin to spiral in ways he doesn’t understand, and the world is changing before his very eyes.

Driven insane by the very people he trusted, Bellamy is caught between worlds in a way like never before. He’s in the hands of Addariel, the angel both at fault for his fall from grace and the current King of Hell. His mind is only clear when he is inside his own head, and his world is spinning out of control. A terrible experiment that went wrong has left him on the verge of death, and it is up to the Codex of Hell and Addariel to save him.
Then, the strangest things happen among the demons. They devote themselves to his salvation, claiming him as their mate and, more than that, dedicating the hearts they didn’t know they had to him. In his madness, he captures their very souls and changes the nature of the beasts around him. Even Addariel, once only interested in power, shifts his focus to taking care of the mentally fragile Bellamy. For the first time in Zion’s history, the King of Hell cares more for something other than power and conquest.
Elysium, though, is not letting go of him easily. In a misguided attempt to help him, they make a move that could destroy the fragile peace between Zion and Elysium.

Rescuing Bellamy has become a priority for both Elysium and Zion. Adding to the mix are the Arcadians, who will stand to fight for Bellamy. Held by the angel Usiel in a location no one knows, Bellamy fights for his survival and the survival of his unborn child. Usiel wants to breed an army of angels capable of fighting demons without fearing their use of negative energy, and by doing that, he needs to rid Bellamy of the demon’s child within him.
A human woman senses something off with a strange neighbor and investigates the situation. What she finds shocks her, and she knows what she must do. Taking Bellamy, unstable as he is, she flees, unsure what to do with what she thinks is a young girl pregnant with her a child her captor wishes to kill.
Meanwhile, in Arcadia, angels from Elysium and demons from Zion work together with a pirate radio station to try and find the missing Nephilim. The world is unsure, but they know they must find him before Usiel captures him again.

Bellamy Delacroix thinks he has a perfectly ordinary life. He’s navigating his identity within a blended family, including his mother, stepfather, and three step-siblings. He’s learning to accept himself and striving to explore the world around him. However, strange creatures searching for Bellamy blow in the side of their house. His mother then reveals a secret—she’s an angel, and these creatures are demons looking for them.
He escapes when his mother destroys them and herself and gets help from a friend of his mother’s. Then, though, she too falls to the demons. Without knowing it, he steps into a world that will change everything about the entire universe around him. A world where extra planar creatures war with each other, and Bellamy’s entire existence is a mystery which they want to solve. He begins to wonder who his friends really are, and if the lines between good and evil are so thick.
Journey with Bellamy as he navigates a new life that he never imagined could happen. His experiences range from incredible to horrific, yet he always remains the kind, gentle person he started life as.
