Omegaverse
Exploring the concepts of Omegaverse are interesting because they take things about modern society and put them in a different light. It puts a lens on things and how we do them and brings out some aspects of humanity that are unexpected sometimes.
My Omegaverse is a little different, but it is pretty dark in places. Omegas aren't often exactly as people expect them to be, and in some of these, the world is crafted in different ways to discuss society level issues that plague this type of society.
Of course, at it's base, Omegaverse is the fantasy of men being able to have babies, and while that's cool, I think the structures of the society and various issues are even more interesting.

In Kansas City, Missouri, there’s a place called Neon Lights. It’s an average dance club, at least on the surface. It’s run by an alpha/omega couple, John and Theresa Maximus, and it seems like the hottest spot in KC. In the basement, there’s even a dungeon for those with a need for something a little spicer than the average play.
There’s a secret, though, in Neon Lights, and that’s accessed by a secret elevator only known about by a select few people. Below the dungeon, there’s a safe house. There, Theresa takes care of forgotten, neglected, and abused omegas who need to escape the oppressive systems of the government and the society they live in. She takes them in and serves as an intermediary when they need to escape the country as well as making connections necessary for their protection.
Here, these needy omegas find the help they need, and go forward in making a life for themselves and the ones they love dearly. Neon Lights also serves as the grounds on which the Omega Protection Movement bases its operation in a effort to bring full equality and rights to the omegas of the world.

Shifters are a part of everyday life in the world, and in the city of St. Louis, this is no different. Rich and affluent people have these human/animal hybrids as pets, and they are treated as if they are animals. They are owned, tagged, sterilized, and euthanized like any other animal despite their human aspects. The thinking is that they are really descended from animals, and they don’t deserve full rights as they are not truly human. They are generally smaller, weaker, and only can be bred by laboratories because they appear to be sterile.
Born into this world, though, is something new. Something unique as far as scientists know, and they don’t understand him. A rare creature already, a black wolf with amber eyes, he’s larger than any other hybrid created, more powerful, and not submissive in the least to anyone else. He fights every owner and refuses to do what he’s told. On track to be euthanized, he’s rescued by a young scientist who knows there’s more than meets the eye. He quickly identifies this strange hybrid as something he labels an “alpha hybrid,” and he is completely different than these other “omega hybrids” that have come before him.
Together, this scientist and alpha decide that the time has come for hybrid shifters to become more than animals, and the Onyx Resistance is born.

In a world where humanity transformed to cope with a virulent virus, there are few pure humans left. Instead, humans were transformed using the DNA of animals to survive, and have become something new.
