Onyx Resistance Trilogy

Shifters are a part of everyday life in the world, and in the city of St. Louis, this is no different. Rich and affluent people have these human/animal hybrids as pets, and they are treated as if they are animals. They are owned, tagged, sterilized, and euthanized like any other animal despite their human aspects. The thinking is that they are really descended from animals, and they don’t deserve full rights as they are not truly human. They are generally smaller, weaker, and only can be bred by laboratories because they appear to be sterile.

Born into this world, though, is something new. Something unique as far as scientists know, and they don’t understand him. A rare creature already, a black wolf with amber eyes, he’s larger than any other hybrid created, more powerful, and not submissive in the least to anyone else. He fights every owner and refuses to do what he’s told. On track to be euthanized, he’s rescued by a young scientist who knows there’s more than meets the eye. He quickly identifies this strange hybrid as something he labels an “alpha hybrid,” and he is completely different than these other “omega hybrids” that have come before him.

Together, this scientist and alpha decide that the time has come for hybrid shifters to become more than animals, and the Onyx Resistance is born.
