Healing Bonds Books

What is the Healing Bonds universe?

It is a group of three different series focusing on the people in a large polycule in St. Louis and people connected to them. Dr. Kieran Sung would be the closest to the "main character" of the entire universe (that's a wild statement if there ever was one). He begins in Doctor's Training and becomes a part of each successive book in some way or another.

Chains of Fate focuses directly on Kiearn and his polycule, while Silken Bonds and Joe Town Bound are related to him and the polycule through various threads that are revealed throughout the stories.

So, if you're into a series that goes the distance, the Healing Bonds universe might just be for you.

Chains of Fate

Chains of Fate is a series that encompasses several series in St. Louis, Missouri. Each trilogy after Doctor's Training, links back to that book. Each other series, like Silken Bonds and Joe Town Bound, also link to an overall storyline.

These stories all focus on the trope of hurt and comfort and are a crime drama that causes the situations that the characters are involved with. For this series, prepare for mysterious happenings, surprise villains, and surprising heroes. There are many plot threads woven throughout the Chains of Fate group of trilogies, so they are best read in order. The main characters from Doctor's training will have various levels of involvement in the later trilogies.

Each book lists the trigger warnings associated with it, and it is strongly recommended that readers take them seriously.

Much like Chains of Fate, Silken Bonds uses the hurt and comfort as the major unifying trope, and the common use of a particular dungeon. This takes place in Santa Cruz, and has its own set of unique places and people.

These characters all exist in the same universe and those in Chains of Fate, and there are some crossovers between them, as well as with Joe Town Bound. Also contemporary, this is also surrounding some crime drama that links this series together. Some threads, though, go back to Chains of Fate.

Just like Chains of Fate, each book has trigger warnings, and I highly suggest they are taken very seriously. Your mental health is not worth reading something that bothers you.

Silken Bonds

Set in the moderately sized town of St. Joseph, Missouri (home of the pony express and Jesse James house). There is a different feel than in the other books. The area is primarily rural surrounding the city, and much more conservative than its counterparts in St. Louis and Santa Cruz.

For this reason, the dungeon used by the characters here is a hidden one, and only those in the know have access to it. Each character comes by this knowledge in different means, and as they do, the crime drama surrounding each set of main characters begins to unwind.

Also connected to the overarching plot, Joe Town Bound has a curious place in Healing Bonds. Will you detect it before the truth is revealed?

Again, please mind the trigger warnings on these books.
