Welcome to my website. I do hope you are well as you are visiting. Just a note, before you go delving into my work, I specialize in writing hurt/comfort works, and dark romance is a subplot of many of my books. I primarily deal with trauma and PTSD and other mental health concerns. My characters are flawed and have things they need to deal with in many ways. Please be mindful of warnings and content notes on each particular work that is posted. Also a quick note to let you know I focus on queer themes. There are occasional heterosexual and cisgender characters in my works, but the vast majority are queer in some way or another. I play a lot with gender and gender roles, so there are a lot of themes surrounding those things. I do write omegaverse and mpreg, so if that's not your thing, check with the content notes. I am completely transparent in the content of my works.

If you're new to me, I started out in fanfiction under the name phoenixreal. You can still find my fanfiction on Archive of Our Own, but you may notice similar storylines. A lot of my storylines have been redone for original pieces. I'm thankful to my publisher for picking up and taking a chance on me. And I really thank all of you for stopping by my page today.

In a world where queer love has become revolutionary, Beverly L. Anderson strives to reach out to those that share her vision of the reality of queer people in love. Whether in a science fiction or fantasy setting, or in the every day streets of St. Louis, Bev seeks to make her characters vivid and unapologetically queer. Bev produces stories that reveal the inner workings of the psyche, and how people deal with mental health and mental illness. Her exploration of these issues is true to life, some seen through lived experiences, others through learning in other ways. She seeks to make people think and touch people's hearts in the process. They delve into the darkness so a light can shine all the brighter and illuminate all the dark corners of the characters' worlds. These stories are about people; people who live, love, make mistakes, have flaws, and sometimes do things they regret. Even the protagonist cannot avoid the fact they are not perfect beings.

All of Bev's stories have some degree of spice, mostly because characters of various genders and sexualities are sometimes left out of the world of romance. Instead, she brings the characters into these acts of love and devotion, and sometimes brings them into situations they have to deal with later on.

The crux of the stories is the plot, and when you pick up one of Bev's books, you'll find richly detailed storylines, places, and twists that you might not expect. The spice is there for fun, but can be skipped if someone wants.
